Periodic check-up (APK)

With the periodic check-up authorisation you can inspect vehicles. Using our online application, you can then easily register these vehicles for a new technical inspection.

What is a periodic check-up?

In Europe, all vehicles are required by law to undergo periodic technical inspection to improve traffic safety and protect the environment. These inspections are conducted by licensed vehicle inspectors. Once a vehicle has passed inspection, an inspection report is issued.

To guarantee safety, the vehicle needs to be given to a workshop to see to any repairs that might be needed. The periodic vehicle inspection is not related to regular vehicle maintenance and needs to be conducted in the Netherlands, Belgium or Spain.
