Vehicle Export Document OREH

With the export document (OREH) authorisation you can register vehicles for export. We can help you apply for this authorisation. Additionally, we offer you the option to insure these vehicles online for a period of 14 days.

What is OREH?

When you have sold a vehicle to a client outside the Netherlands, you can use the OREH service to register the vehicle for export. This means that the Dutch licence plate will be deregistered in the Netherlands. The RDW will then issue an export licence plate for 14 days, only provided to the vehicle, if it has a valid technical inspection certificate (APK). With the OREH service, you can take care of this process online, straight out of your company inventory.

Driving to the country of destination

When the vehicle you’ve sold needs to be driven to its destination, it can be supplied with a temporary export licence plate, that is valid for a period of 14 days. The original Dutch yellow licence plate is replaced by a white plate with black letters and the same licence plate combination. Your client then, can drive the vehicle to the country of destination. Of course, te vehicle needs to have a temporary insurance as well.

Insurance via the export document OREH

Using our online application, you can take care of the 14-day insurance with the press of a single button. To generate the green card, the information about the vehicle and the client is automatically taken from the OREH transaction. You can then print the green card yourself and give it to the customer.
