Age ristriction Gabon

We herewith inform you about the Decree no. 002707, signed by the Ministries of Transport and Economy the 27th of September 2013 confirms the implementation of age restrictions (3 years) for all vehicle types in Gabon, as Article 4 states.

As a result of the decision of the Gabonese Government, the import of vehicles over 3 years old is banned with latest date of discharge in LBV the 5th of February, date which is confirmed with an official message from the Gabonese Union of Agencies.

Grimaldi Lines have already scheduled the 2 last sailings to arrive in LBV before the 5th of February, the GBN0114 and the ECA0114, in order to ensure that all units over 3 years old will arrive on time in Gabon without any problems.
After the departure of the ECA0114, we will not anymore accept units over 3 years of their first registration until further notice.

In case where one of our vessel arrives and cannot birth before this date due to congestion, the authorities will still accept the over-aged units, as the manifest will be submitted by anticipation.
