Lagos situation – Customs duty for used vehicles (cv’s)

We would like to advise customers that the Nigerian Customs Authorities have started to collect the recently implemented new customs regulations for used vehicles (cv’s) with immediate effect.  Due to the fact that this was previously advised that this would take effect as from July 1st, we understand that this is causing confusion with customers.

However we would like to inform you that Customs Evaluation Officers in Lagos have confirmed that this new regulation is in force and charged at same levels at ALL Lagos terminals (PTML, 5Star Logistics & all others) without ANY exception.

The situation in Lagos is still very unclear & we are following extremely closely and will advise as soon as we get further info.
